The Clinical Wireless Monitoring Technician I will obtain the knowledge and skills required to analyze and process ECG transmissions/events through training courses including basic rhythm interpretation and software used to manage and document findings. The Clinical Wireless Monitoring Technician I will provide technical analysis of ECG data supporting the completion of processing events.
You are responsible for
- Reviewing ECG transmissions and related algorithm findings for clinical accuracy/completeness
- Evaluating ECG transmissions for physician notification criteria and document actions
- Escalating ECG abnormalities according to software and physician notification protocol
- Ensuring quality assurance of readings and reports that will be delivered to physicians in conjunction with the Lead and/or Supervisor
- Meeting performance productivity standards as noted in the ramp up process once initial training is completed
- Ensuring quality assurance of work analyzed and processed
- Completing all assigned/required training, while staying up to date on developing clinical knowledge, specifically ECG rhythm interpretation
- Following all company, HIPAA, and Medicare policy and procedures

Ambulatory Monitoring & Diagnostics (AM&D) is part of the Philips Connected Care business cluster. Philips BioTelemetry is part of the AM&D business and provides remote cardiac monitoring services for more than one million patients per year. Philips acquired BioTelemetry in early 2021. The combination of Philips and BioTelemetry results in a global leader in patient care management solutions for the hospital and the home, a leading U.S.-based provider of remote cardiac diagnostics and monitoring.
Consists of members of the Clinical Wireless Monitoring team and directly reports to the Clinical Wireless Monitoring Supervisor.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required
- CRAT/CCT certification within 180 days of employment/transfer
- Proficiency using a computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook); comfortable using telephone and computer to perform job responsibilities
- 6+ months experience in a clinical setting involving ECG/EKG monitoring and/or interpretation and analysis (preferred)
- Comfortable working evening and overnight schedules as well as weekends and holidays on rotation
