The National Clinician Consultation Center (NCCC), At The Department Of Family & Community Medicine, Provides Immediate, State-of-the-art HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, And Substance Use Clinical Telephonic Consultation To Health Care Providers (physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, And Other Healthcare Professionals) Across The Country Through Six Telephone And Online Consultation Services

 HIV/AIDS Management Consultation Service (Warmline)

 Post-Exposure Prophylaxis Consultation Service (PEPline)

 Perinatal HIV Consultation and Referral Service

 Hepatitis C Consultation Service

 Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis Consultation Service

 Substance Use Warmline

Under the general supervision of the Program Manager, the Scheduling Coordinator will schedule work shifts for a team of 30+ clinical experts in the field of HIV/AIDS, substance use, and viral hepatitis which includes physicians, clinical pharmacists, and advanced practice nurses. The incumbent will also schedule all NCCC internal training and development projects such as the internal training and development discussion series; staff meetings; the clinical observership program; and new clinician consultant training. The incumbent will perform other operational functions such as preparation of clinician moonlighting payments and reconciliation of the answering service call logs. The Scheduling Coordinator may also support other special projects within NCCC and the department as assigned.

Department Description

UCSF’s Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions.

Required Qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of related work experience
• Excellent organizational/prioritization skills: proven ability to handle complex details accurately and attentively; ability to problem-solve and follow-through.
• Superior ability to prioritize assignments, manage several concurrent activities effectively with frequent interruptions under heavy deadlines and pressure.
• Ability to coordinate projects from beginning to end.
• Proven ability to learn and assimilate information quickly.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Ability to problem-solve, meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Excellent verbal/written communications skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook email.
• Prior scheduling experience.
• Prior Web Conferencing experience
• Bachelor’s degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
