QUALIFICATIONS
• As a physical therapist assistant, you will encounter a variety of clients that require skilled hands-on care, a solid team approach and creative problem solving
• Education: Graduate of an accredited PTA program
• Actively licensed as PT Assistant in the State of Mississippi required
• Current CPR certificate required
• Knowledge of PT principles, standards and practices
• Knowledge of the exercises, modalities and training techniques used in physical therapy
• Excellent oral and written communication and computer skills
• Effective clinical problem-solving skills
• Ability to administer a wide range of physical therapy treatments using a variety of methods and apparatuses
• Ability to follow detailed therapy plans and instructions; ability to adapt exercises to specific needs of patient and to recommend therapy changes which facilitate the patient's progress
• Ability to record accurate treatment notes and patient progress through oral and written communication
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, co-workers, patients and vendors
