Job Description:
As a Fireplace and Chimney Specialist, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of fireplaces and chimneys. You will work directly with homeowners to ensure the safe and efficient operation of their systems, providing them with expert advice and recommendations for upkeep and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough chimney inspections, cleaning, and sweeping to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Install and repair fireplaces, chimney liners, and related components.
- Diagnose issues with fireplaces and chimneys and provide accurate recommendations for repairs or replacements.
- Educate customers on proper maintenance and safety practices for their fireplace and chimney systems.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns in a professional manner.
- Collaborate with a team to complete larger projects, ensuring quality control and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in fireplace and chimney maintenance, repair, and installation is preferred.
- Knowledge of chimney cleaning tools, safety protocols, and equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose fireplace and chimney issues.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Certification from a recognized industry association is a plus, but not required.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
