Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a leading educational institution in Phoenixville, PA, is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to join their team!
Job Summary:- Pay: $42,000-$65,000
- Shift: 1st Shift
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develop behavior goals for IEPs through Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP).
- Provide professional development and coaching to staff on best practices for supporting students with behavioral needs.
- Implement, monitor, and adjust PBSPs for students as needed.
- Collaborate with special and regular education teachers to ensure effective behavior intervention strategies.
- Facilitate IEP and 504 meetings, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws.
- Track student behavior progress and recommend data-driven interventions.
- Serve as a liaison between families and community resources/outside agencies.
- Provide training and guidance to paraprofessional staff on behavior intervention strategies.
- Attend administrative meetings related to Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Special Education (SPED).
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree (required).
- PA Special Education Teacher Certification.
- BCBA certification preferred or currently in progress.
- Experience working with children in behavioral support roles.
- Knowledge of FBA, PBSP, and behavior intervention strategies.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Familiarity with progress monitoring and data collection for behavior support.
- Ability to work with special education teams, families, and community agencies.
