As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or an Applied Behavior Analyst, your primary role will involve working directly with individuals who have Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and collaborate with a Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to create mental health treatment plans to help improve the lives of our clients. . These individuals have complex medical needs, such as autism, acquired brain injury, and a spectrum of other mental health issues. We are seeking a motivated and compassionate BCBA or ABA to join our growing team and help our clients achieve meaningful progress and reach their fullest potential. Through the implementation of positive reinforcement and teaching coping skills to individuals, our goal is to better prepare our clients for daily life in community settings.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for clients with behavioral health needs
This role requires a strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote positive behavioral changes
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to identify behavioral challenges and needs
Provide supervision, training, and mentorship to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and behavior therapists.
Monitor progress and modify programs as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. Observe, report, execute treatment plan, and re-evaluate for resolution or restructure of the treatment plan.
Provide a variety of evaluation and intervention services.
Complete daily written notes, data tracking, and skilled assessments. All actions taken and recorded must be billable.
Follow medical protocols and medication treatment plans. Communicate health changes in a timely manner.
Screen for medical and behavioral emergency conditions. Assess and chart observations of the patient's condition in addition to the vitals at each visit.
Utilize Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) practices to create a thoughtful and supportive work environment by ensuring activities, plans and routines reflect the preferences, needs and goals of each individual.
Train staff on client specific specialized behaviors, triggers, and de-escalation protocols as needed.
Responsible for the maintenance of medication books, medication reconciliation, house log books, etc. to ensure program compliance with all regulations.
All other duties as needed or assigned to effectively provide total client care.
Qualifications
Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is required
Proficiency in medical documentation practices and maintaining medical records
Strong skills in data collection and analysis related to patient behavior
Master’s degree in Behavior Analysis, Education, Psychology, or related field.
Current BCBA certification in good standing with the BACB.
At least one year experience working with individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in the field.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
