Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to take over the day-to-day operations of our goat milk soap business. This role will begin with mastering the soap-making process and eventually include managing other aspects of the business. The position will start at 32 hours per week and increase to 40 hours per week after 3 months.
There will be a 3-month paid training period. Training will begin with lotion preparation, bottling, and labeling. This will be followed by training in goat milk soap making. After 1 year, we will pay full expenses for the employee to take the necessary exams to become a Certified Professional Natural Soap Maker.
The new employee must sign a confidentiality agreement.
Key Responsibilities:
Production and Management of Goat Milk Lotion: Oversee the preparation, bottling, labeling, and quality control of goat milk lotion.
Soap Making: Learn and execute the soap-making process, including mixing, pouring, cutting, curing, and packaging soap to maintain our high-quality standards.
Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
Quality Control: Ensure every batch of soap & lotion etc our rigorous quality standards.
Business Operations: Over time, take on additional responsibilities such as order fulfillment, vendor relations, and a portion of financial management.
Qualifications:
Passion for craftsmanship and natural products.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Willingness to learn all aspects of the business
Previous experience in soap making, small business operations, or related fields is a plus but not required.
Full paid training is provided
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials up to 50 lbs.
Benefits:
One week of vacation available after one year of employment.
Employee may enjoy some flexibility in hours as long as the work is completed in a timely fashion and delivery dates are met.
After 3-month training period is completed, additional valuable benefits are available for discussion.
