Pay: $75,000- $85,000 per year
Position Summary:
The Therapist provides therapeutic services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This position involves assessing clients, creating individualized treatment plans, providing individual and group therapy, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to promote long-term recovery. The Therapist will utilize evidence-based practices to guide treatment and ensure quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Assessment:
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to evaluate the nature and extent of substance use, mental health status, and related behavioral health concerns.
Treatment Planning:
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments, incorporating client goals, evidence-based practices, and appropriate therapeutic modalities.
Therapy Services:
Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other relevant modalities.
Case Management:
Coordinate care with medical providers, case managers, peer support specialists, and external resources to support client recovery and holistic well-being.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including assessments, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Crisis Intervention:
Provide crisis intervention services as needed, ensuring client safety and stabilization during high-risk situations.
Psychoeducation:
Educate clients and families on substance use disorders, coping strategies, relapse prevention techniques, and available resources to support long-term recovery.
Client Advocacy:
Advocate for clients to access services, including housing, employment, medical care, and support systems, ensuring a supportive network for ongoing recovery.
Collaboration:
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, sharing insights and collaborating on the care of clients to ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.
Continuing Education:
Stay current with trends in substance use disorder treatment, including new therapeutic techniques, research, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field.
- State licensure as an APCC , AMFT or ACSW
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working in a Dual Diagnosis setting.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience of one on one and group therapy.
- Minimum of 1 years of experience working with adults.
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and experience providing integrated care.
- Strong understanding of harm reduction, 12-step programs, and recovery-oriented systems of care.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Ritten.io) and clinical documentation.
Work Environment:
- This position requires 100% in-office services.
- Occasional evening or weekend hours may be necessary to meet client needs, but overall a rare need.
- Participation in continuing education and supervision to maintain licensure and certification.
