Payrate: $31.00 an hour
Shift Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Remote Monday – Friday
We are seeking a dedicated Protective Services and Incident Management Specialist to oversee case and record reviews, coordinate with various agencies, and support the mitigation of participant risks in our programs. This role will involve working closely with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), Service Coordination Entities (SCEs), providers, and internal teams to manage critical incidents, mortality reviews, and ensure compliance with protective services protocols.
Fatality Review Manager Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in social work or related human services field
- Minimum five (5) years quality improvement experience in multifaceted formal quality management program.
- Minimum three (3) years supervisory or management experience
- Computer expertise including a working knowledge of word processing functions, as well as data base utilization, maintenance, and management.
- Or
- Current and valid Pennsylvania Registered Nurse License
- Minimum three (3) years professional clinical experience.
- Minimum two (2) years quality improvement experience in multifaceted formal quality management program
- Minimum two (2) years supervisory or management experience.
- Computer expertise including a working knowledge of word processing functions, as well as data base utilization, maintenance, and management.
Fatality Review Manager Key Responsibilities:
- Perform case and record reviews to provide consultation and technical assistance to MCOs, SCEs, providers, and other agencies to mitigate participant risks.
- Serve as the liaison between state protective service agencies, MCOs, SCEs, and internal Critical Incident Management staff, coordinating case reviews and addressing deficiencies with corrective actions.
- Manage protective services reports for program participants and providers enrolled with OLTL.
- Coordinate information sharing, offer technical assistance, and ensure the resolution of high-profile and sentinel events.
- Assist clinical staff and registered nurses with mortality reviews by gathering case-specific information, reviewing documentation, and tracking follow-up activities.
- Complete trend analyses and compile mortality reviews, comparing findings with national health statistics and Department of Health data to propose preventative training programs .
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies, including the Office of the Attorney General, to explain program policies and report incidents of abuse and neglect.
- Perform data integrity activities and coordinate record corrections for MCOs, SCEs, and providers.
- Participate in IT design sessions and user acceptance testing for IT applications.
- Conduct data analytics on incident report data and develop comprehensive, ongoing reports.
- Use program office applications (EIM, HCSIS, WellSky, CIS/eCIS) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to monitor activities.
- Communicate with FFS or CHC Waiver representatives to ensure participant health and welfare.
- Develop and maintain a tracking system to identify patterns in negative participant health and welfare outcomes.
