What You'll Do:
- Comprehensive Care: Provide exceptional nursing care to expecting mothers throughout the labor and delivery process, ensuring a safe and positive experience for both mother and baby.
- Assessment and Monitoring: Conduct thorough assessments of maternal and fetal health, monitor vital signs, and interpret fetal heart tracings to detect any complications.
- Collaboration: Work closely with obstetricians, midwives, and surgical teams to develop and implement individualized birth plans tailored to each mother's needs.
- Patient Education: Guide and educate patients and their families on childbirth processes, pain management options, and postpartum care to ensure they feel empowered and informed.
- Emotional Support: Provide compassionate emotional support to mothers and their families, helping them navigate the joys and challenges of childbirth with confidence.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records to ensure the highest quality of care.

Requirements
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong assessment skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to varying workloads and schedules in a dynamic environment.
