We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to participate in the planning and treatment of patients with behavioral health issues under the direction and supervision of the Chief Medical Director, and collaborating Physicians.
Essential Functions:
Provides clinical assessments; treatments; behavioral and medication managementWorks in collaboration with the behavioral health consultants as a member of the interdisciplinary team assigned to the facilityAs a resource to facility staff, provides consultation on nursing practice and psychopharmacology as appropriate.Participates in case reviews, consultations and utilization reviewResponds to urgent calls from the facility and facilitates problem solvingMaintains accurate records on patients treatedMaintains accurate daily records for billing purposes and submits in a timely manner as directed.Provides in-service education at the facilities as neededParticipates in staff and facility medical staff meetings as needed

Requirements
Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program and certification approved or recognized by the State of Texas.
Minimum Work Experience
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) as an Adult, Family, or Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. Experience required in the diagnosis, treatment and management of geriatric and / or adult populations required. Credentialed in the State of Texas. Familiar with mental health preferred.
