Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Work with a team of Pharmacists to ensure efficient dispensing.
- Contribute to a positive, cooperative team environment.
- Support the pharmacy with the mentoring of junior colleagues and trainees to build skills and confidence.
- Respond to escalated queries from Pharmacy Support Staff quickly and accurately.
Patient Care & Clinical Services
- Conduct clinical checks to ensure prescriptions meet legal and regulatory standards.
- Assess the appropriateness of prescriptions and dispensed medicines, offering patient-specific care.
- Perform accuracy checks on dispensed medicines.
- Provide clear medicine counselling on usage, side effects, and adherence.
Prescriber & Healthcare Professional Support
- Address medical queries from prescribers and healthcare professionals.
- Advise on medicine interactions, dosages, and best prescribing practices.
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, UK regulations, and internal policies.
- Uphold patient safety protocols in all pharmacy operations.
Professional Development & Continuous Learning
- Stay current with pharmacy developments and maintain competency in your practice.
Requirements
To thrive in the Pharmacist position at Pharmacierge, we're looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications and skills:
Essential Requirements
- Must have a current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Must have a qualification as a Pharmacist (MPharm degree or equivalent).
