HHI Pharmacy (Affiliated with Metro Infectious Disease Consultants) is seeking a Full-Time Staff Pharmacist who would be responsible for, under moderate direction, coordinating and executing pharmacy operations and services. This includes compounding, checking, dispensing of parenteral medications and providing clinical monitoring services.
Duties
1) Coordinate activities and assists with managing pharmacy services.
2) Coordinate treatment orders with physicians, patients, nursing staff and support personnel. Monitor treatment plan progress toward objectives. Assess patient informational, including laboratory tests, to recommending therapy modifications.
3) Document prescription and other treatment information onto appropriate pharmacy monitoring forms, computer system or record.
4) Coordinate parenteral solution and medication preparation. Supervise environmentally controlled compounding facilities and equipment maintenance.
5) Indirectly supervise and trains new and existing pharmacy personnel. Implement new pharmacy procedures.
6) Provide resource information to health care professionals and assists with sales presentations.
7) Advise and assist patients with medication and or infusion problems or questions.
8) Test and analyze compounded medications and products to insure proper formulation, sterility, etc.
Requirements
- 1-3 years pharmacy experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy
- Active IL Pharmacist License
- At least (1) year experience with parenteral drug therapy admixture programs is preferred
- At least (1) year clinical monitoring experience preferred
- Proof of current vaccinations, including recommended boosters, commonly required for those working with immunocompromised patients, including measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis A & B, influenza, and COVID-19.
