The role you’ll contribute:
The Cardiopulmonary Services Director ensures the provision of departments in collaboration with other health professionals in an environment that is respectful of others, accountable for outcomes and adaptive to change. The Director is responsible for the planning and comprehensive operations of the Respiratory Therapy, EKG, Sleep Center, and EEG departments.

· Assures that areas of responsibility adhere to relevant safety, regulatory, certification and/or accreditation standards.
· Identifies and participates in opportunities to share skills, knowledge, and strategies for patient care and system improvement with colleagues and other healthcare providers
· Serves as a resource to various populations for the purpose of influencing the delivery of health care and the formation of policy.
· Works with employees to design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive, culturally sensitive, patient, family and staff education.
· Provides leadership to achieve desired outcomes for the department and organization
· Ensures competency based practice to enhance the quality of patient care being delivered.
· Monitors compliance with standards of care by observation, verbal reports and written documentation, and regularly gives feedback and assists in the development of action plans to increase compliance and implement change to correct identified deficiencies.
· Evaluates staff documentation compliance with required elements.
· Promotes achievement of targeted patient outcomes within length of stay and cost parameters.
· Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to monitor, evaluate, and trend patient responses to treatment during hospital stay.
· Identifies and participates in opportunities to share skills, knowledge, and strategies for patient care and system improvement with colleagues and other healthcare providers.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :
· Graduation from a program approved by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoArc) or a successor accrediting authority
· Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care, health care and/or human resource management
· 5 Respiratory Care experience
· RCP - Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner
· RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Care
· BLS - Basic Life Support
Preferred qualifications :
· Master’s Degree in Respiratory Care, health care and/or human resource management
· 7 Respiratory Care experience
· ACLS
· NRP
· PALS
