Physician Assistant (PA-C)
AdventHealth Central Florida Division
General Summary:
The PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician, is responsible for:

Providing first assisting during surgical procedures
-
Participates in the management of the intraoperative care of surgical patients.

Ensuring operating room is properly set up and equipped for planned procedure
-
Perform all intraoperative tasks as directed by the surgeon
-
Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
-
Specialties covered but not limited to: Robotics, Orthopedics, Urogynecology, Plastic Surgery, Neurology, and Vascular.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.

Strong communication skills

Strong medical decision-making skills
Required Education and Experience:

Graduation from an ARC-PA approved physician assistant program

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a PA-C in surgical first assisting in at least one of our listed specialties.

Preferred experience in spine and robotics
