A clinically competent member of the Laboratory who will perform collection and accessioning of specimens submitted to the Laboratory as well as collected by the specimens collected by other staff/physician offices/clinics. In addition will be responsible for the order entry of Radiology orders, be able to perform full registration procedures if necessary and assist patients to the various areas for diagnostic testing. Will provide patient care in accordance with MVRMC policies and procedures. Expected to provide a positive image of MVRMC and to be able to communicate effectively with patients, peers, physicians and visitors
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Vocational program/Phlebotomy Program/Medical Assistant Program
Experience:
Required: 2 years working experience in a high volume Laboratory as a Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant
Preferred: 3 or more years working experience in a high volume Laboratory as a Phlebotomist/Laboratory Assistant.
Licenses/Certificates:
Required: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Preferred: Board certified Phlebotomist/eligible with CPR certification
