The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in serving patients and in maintaining medication and inventory control systems. Under the general supervision of the Director and other pharmacists, the pharmacy technician performs various distributive and clerical functions associated with the dispensing, delivery, and charging of medications and IV fluids.
Education / Certification / Licensure:
Experience / Skill:

At least 1 year experience in a hospital pharmacy setting

Working knowledge of unit dose distribution, repackaging, sterile compounding, medication storage inspections, and pharmacy automated devices

Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to meet the needs of all customer groups

Concentration and attention to detail- often under time pressures
