As a Scrub Tech at Northwest Medical Center Houghton, you'll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients.
Requirements:
Completion of accredited Surgical Technician program
-OR- 2 years of on-the-job training
-OR- 7 years of experience working in the field
-OR- Military training program with 2 years surgical tech experience"
Licenses/Certifications: Required: BLS (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery-Certified (TS-C)
About the Job:

Assists in the care of the surgical patient applying principles of asepsis to perform scrub duties and related activities for surgical procedures

Arranging and inventorying sterile set-up for operations and passing items to doctors and nurses as needed

Assists in preparing and moving patients and in cleaning the operating theater.
Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
