Position Overview:
We are seeking an ambitious, clinical expert to serve as the Clinical Community Liaison for our Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This role will be integral in representing and advocating for our program within the community, ensuring alignment between our clinical services and the needs of the individuals we serve. The ideal candidate will possess both a deep understanding of behavioral health care as well as the ability to foster relationships with community stakeholders, clinical partners, and internal teams. The Clinical Community Liaison will be the face of our program, promoting its growth, enhancing its reputation, and ensuring effective communication of clinical criteria for patient admissions.
Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders, including community organizations, healthcare providers, and referral sources, regarding behavioral health services and inpatient care.

Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships within the community, acting as a trusted resource and representative of the hospital’s Behavioral Health Unit.

Effectively communicate clinical criteria for admission and ensure a clear understanding of our services across referral sources.

Collaborate with the hospital’s Marketing Team, Physician Liaison, and Director of Physician Liaison to ensure cohesive and strategic marketing and relationship-building efforts.

Advocate for the needs of the program, ensuring continuous alignment between the community, referral sources, and clinical operations.

Stay informed about industry trends and changes in behavioral health practices to maintain an expert-level understanding of clinical best practices.

Participate in strategic planning to scale the inpatient behavioral health program, focusing on growth, outreach, and service development.

Provide clinical support and education as necessary to internal and external teams regarding patient care, behavioral health admissions, and program development.
Qualifications:

Licensed Clinical Professional (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or RN) with a strong background in Behavioral Health.

Demonstrated experience in clinical practice, with expertise in behavioral health assessments, treatment planning, and patient care.

Proven ability to foster relationships and communicate effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders, including clinicians, physicians, and community organizations.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to advocate effectively for the behavioral health program and its patients.

Self-motivated and able to balance autonomy with collaborative teamwork.

Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Previous experience in a liaison or similar community-facing role in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Strong understanding of clinical admission criteria for inpatient behavioral health care.
