Job Summary: The Director of Quality is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and management of quality improvement and patient safety programs. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards and fosters a culture of continuous improvement across the facility. The Director collaborates with hospital leadership and department heads to enhance patient care, monitors quality metrics, and drives performance improvement initiatives.
Essential Functions:

Lead and oversee quality and performance improvement initiatives to meet regulatory standards and enhance patient care outcomes.

Monitor quality metrics and performance data, analyzing trends to identify areas for improvement across clinical and operational areas.

Conduct root cause analyses, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and apply other quality methodologies to improve processes.

Collaborate with department leaders to develop and track action plans that meet quality and patient safety targets.

Facilitate staff training on quality improvement practices, patient safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other accrediting agencies.

Prepare and present quality and performance reports to hospital administration, committees, and the Governing Board.

Perform other duties as assigned, in compliance with all policies and standards.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred.

5-7 years of experience in quality improvement, patient safety, or healthcare compliance required.

1-3 years of prior leadership experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of quality improvement processes, patient safety standards, and healthcare regulations.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for data analysis and improvement strategy development.

Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Proficiency in Google Suite and quality management software.

Ability to drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Licenses and Certifications:

CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) preferred, or
-
CPHRM (Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management) preferred.
