The role you ’ll contribute :
The Clinical Data Analyst (CDA) operates under the direction of the Operations Quality Improvement director/manager to review medical records, abstract pertinent elements, enter data into a specified registry and/or electronic data collection tool, identify trends in quality of care and patient safety, and implement the organizational quality management/ performance improvement program. The CDA is responsible for the management and maintenance of a comprehensive program of data collection and analysis of clinical care for internal and external benchmarking to improve patient outcomes and hospital processes. The CDA conducts concurrent and retrospective medical record reviews and data analysis to determine the need for care appropriateness reviews by the medical staff or committees. Prepares data for medical staff and hospital committees; participates on or facilitates performance improvement projects; participates in focused studies and detailed data collection with analysis; ensures complete, accurate and timely data is collected and maintained. Provides clinical analytic support to high priority cost and effectiveness initiatives throughout the system.
