Job Description

We are seeking a Pediatric RN to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing. This Full-time position is a M-F day shift position!! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring the care offered by PPEC is consistently available to all patients.
Coordinates and integrates care that is provided by PPEC staff, including contractual provides.
Collaborates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures which guide and support the provision of case.
Recommends resources needed to provide care.
Collaborates with PPEC leadership and appropriate staff to develop the organizational plan as it pertains to patient care.
Participates in activities relevant to professional services furnished including the development and implementation of the performance improvement plan
Ensures that all clinical staff are oriented prior to providing care and competencies are maintained and validated as directed by policy.
Evaluates the educational needs of the staff.
Contributes to the prevention of infectious disease among employees and patients by adhering to infection control policies and procedures
Maintains staff performance through counseling, appraising, and discipline.
Contributes to safe environment for patients, staff, and families.
Maintains professional knowledge through continuing education.
Assist with adequate staffing as needed.
Responsible for maintaining adequate staff ratios as mandated by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
Interprets and enforce all company mandated policies and procedures
Serve as a backup to the Administrator when needed.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Nursing experience
Registered Nurse in Florida
Degree in nursing preferred
Desire to care for medically complex children
Ability to build rapport with patients and families
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
