We are seeking a Pediatric RN to join our team as an Assistant Director of Nursing. This Full-time position is a M-F day shift position!! You will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of pediatric patients.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the care offered by PPEC is consistently available to all patients.
- Coordinates and integrates care that is provided by PPEC staff, including contractual provides.
- Collaborates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures which guide and support the provision of case.
- Recommends resources needed to provide care.
- Collaborates with PPEC leadership and appropriate staff to develop the organizational plan as it pertains to patient care.
- Participates in activities relevant to professional services furnished including the development and implementation of the performance improvement plan
- Ensures that all clinical staff are oriented prior to providing care and competencies are maintained and validated as directed by policy.
- Evaluates the educational needs of the staff.
- Contributes to the prevention of infectious disease among employees and patients by adhering to infection control policies and procedures
- Maintains staff performance through counseling, appraising, and discipline.
- Contributes to safe environment for patients, staff, and families.
- Maintains professional knowledge through continuing education.
- Assist with adequate staffing as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining adequate staff ratios as mandated by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA)
- Interprets and enforce all company mandated policies and procedures
- Serve as a backup to the Administrator when needed.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of Pediatric Nursing experience
- Registered Nurse in Florida
- Degree in nursing preferred
- Desire to care for medically complex children
- Ability to build rapport with patients and families
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
