Goldson Spine Rehabilitation Center (GSRC) is a multi-disciplinary practice that has been in business for over 25 years. Our services include chiropractic, physical therapy, massage therapy, and psychotherapy with six locations across the southeastern region of Florida. We operate under the mission “To provide the most courteous and effective care and increase the well-being of every person who walks through our door”. We are looking for a passionate, part-time Independent Contractor Physical Therapist to join our team. In this role, you'll assess, plan, and lead rehabilitative programs that boost mobility, relieve pain, enhance strength, and help correct or improve disabling conditions caused by injury or illness. Responsibilities:
· Consult with patients and obtain subjective information about their physical condition and symptoms.
· Perform examination and obtain objective information about their physical condition and symptoms.
· Diagnose movement dysfunction and develop a treatment plan.
· Teach patients how to properly use therapeutic exercise techniques.
· Providing (or delegating to massage therapist) manual to promote healing.
· Providing (or delegating to PTA) therapeutic exercises and modalities.
· Assist patient with the use of equipment, such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches or canes.
· Maintain patient records and keeping track of goals and progress (review of patient reports for accuracy).
· Advise patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises.
· Work closely with billing department to confirm viability of payment for services based on case type (Major medical insurance, Automobile insurance, self-pay, lien).
· Discharge patients from active physical therapy.
Skills & Abilities:
· Good written and verbal communication skills in English, and able to communicate to a diverse range of people clearly and effectively
· Good use of technology: Microsoft programs (Word, Excel & Power Point) or similar, use of computer, printer, fax, scanner and copier machines
· Excellent time management skills and able to successfully achieve set deadlines with a reasonable degree of accuracy
· Ability to work without close supervision and problem solve using own initiative
· Ability to work in and contribute to the team
· Ability to provide excellent customer service
Required Qualifications:
· Florida Board License Physical Therapy
· Valid Malpractice Policy
