Job Description
Do you want to be part of a team that has been doing things the right way for over 40 years?
Established in 1981, Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Specialists, Inc. (OSMS) is a physical therapist-owned private practice that has grown an extensive referral network and loyal patient network by placing the patient first. We specialize in manual therapy coupled with functional exercises to promote the best patient outcomes. Rather than being preoccupied with meeting quotas, we want PTs who are passionate about spending time with their patients and creating a fun, inviting place to get better.
Being a PT at OSMS means honing my skills in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Our clinicians emphasize evidence-based treatments and colleagues share what they've learned from continuing education courses they've taken.
For new and recent graduates we offer a mentorship program. Don't feel that your manual skills are where you want them to be? Still struggling with exercise prescription? An experienced therapist is here to help guide you as you grow professionally and personally. Let us help you become the therapist that you want to be.
Company Description
Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Specialists, Inc. is a physical therapist-owned, independent private practice that has been proudly serving the greater Merrimack Valley with high quality outpatient physical therapy since 1981. Our therapists provide manual physical therapy services, specializing in a wide variety of orthopedic injuries, sports injuries, pre and post-surgical rehabilitation, sprains and strains, back/neck/pelvis dysfunction, and industrial injuries. Of our staff, 3 therapists have been with us for over 35 years, 3 others have been here for over 15 years, and as a whole we have over 190 years of professional physical therapy experience. We have covered major sporting events including the Olympic, the World Cup, Division 1 athletics, the Pan America Games, as well as being the sole provider of athletic training services to North Andover High School since 1988. To maintain such a high level of care, we place a considerable amount of emphasis on continuing education. Our therapists are required to take yearly continuing education coursework, along with weekly inservices to review and practice new techniques or refine current skill sets. Our commitment to continuing education helps reinforce evidence based practice techniques to maintain the highest level of care for our patients. This yields better outcomes, getting you back to work, back to sports/recreational activities quicker, or improving overall function and quality of life. We take an integrated approach to physical therapy, using "hands-on" manual therapy, therapeutic exercise programs, home exercise programs, and education to our patients. This encourages our patients to be active participants in their own recovery. We at Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Specialists remain dedicated to making patient care our foremost concern.
