The Director of Clinical and Intake Operations for Refuge House is a crucial leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing all clinical and intake functions within the organization. This position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in child welfare, clinical services, and program management.
Responsibilities
Clinical Operations
- Oversee and manage all clinical functions, including assessment, service planning and service delivery for children and families in foster care and adoption programs.
- Ensure the implementation of trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions and assessment models for children and families.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure quality services for children, families and accountability for staff
- Provide clinical supervision and support to mental health clinicians, psychiatric providers, and other allied health professionals.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all licensing, contracting, and internal policy requirements
Intake Operations
- Manage and conduct all intake, including referrals, assessments, and placements.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the intake process.
- Locate, review and approve all Mini Break and Respite Placements
- On-call 24/7 for intake responsibilities, including weekends and holidays.
- Performs additional duties and responsibilities assigned as it pertains to the intake job role.
Staff Management
- Supervise all clinical staff
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide opportunities for professional development (if applicable).
- Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, cultural competence, and excellence in service delivery.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Psychology or Social Work
- Current mental health licensure in the state of Texas (LPC), or current LCSW.
- Minimum of 5 years of director-level leadership experience in child welfare, foster care, or adoption services.
- Extensive knowledge of Texas child welfare laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices in child welfare.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in data management systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Licensed Child Placing Agency Administrator certification or ability to obtain within one year of employment.
