Key Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Perform comprehensive audiologic evaluations for pediatric and adult patients.
- Diagnosis and Treatment: Identify hearing and balance disorders and recommend appropriate interventions, including hearing aids, cochlear implants, or other assistive devices.
- Hearing Aid Services: Fit, program, and troubleshoot hearing aids and other amplification devices. Provide patient education and counseling.
- Collaboration: Work closely with ENT specialists, primary care physicians, and other healthcare providers to ensure integrated patient care.
- Testing and Monitoring: Conduct vestibular and electrophysiological testing (e.g., VNG, ABR, ECOG) as needed.
- Patient Education: Counsel patients and families on hearing loss, device use, and hearing preservation strategies.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate patient records, including diagnostic findings, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Community Outreach: Participate in hearing health awareness and screening programs as needed.
