Role Overview
The Oral and Dental Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing various conditions related to the teeth, gums, and jaw. This role demands surgical precision, attention to detail, and a patient-centric approach to care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients’ dental and medical histories to determine necessary surgical interventions
- Develop detailed treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
- Perform surgical procedures including extractions, implants, and reconstructive surgeries
- Provide effective postoperative care and monitor recovery progress for patients
- Collaborate with dental and medical staff for comprehensive patient management
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in oral and maxillofacial surgery
Requirements
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD)
- Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
- Active state dental license
- Proven experience (3+ years) in oral and dental surgical procedures
- In-depth understanding of oral anatomy and surgical techniques
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work successfully within a collaborative healthcare environment
