The ro le you’ll contribute:
The Staff Psychotherapist – GME assists the Director of Physician/APP & Resident Well-Being in the wide range of services offered by the department, including clinical services, retreats, presentations, workshops and research. Particularly responsible for new resident - orientations and individual, couples’ and group counseling/support offered exclusively to Advent Health medical residents. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.
The val ue you’ll bring to the team:
Demonstrates, through behavior, Advent Health’s core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork.
· Conducts New Resident check-ins and Orientations with a focus on establishing and nurturing personal and meaningful relationships with all incoming medical residents.
· Conducts individual, couples and group therapy sessions.
· Provides assessments and treatment planning for delivery of therapy and group processes. Provides urgent response and debriefing for individuals and teams affected by trauma in the environment.
Organizes and facilitates residents support groups and affinity groups.
· Teaches continuing medical education (CME) course curriculum. Designs and delivers presentations and workshops, including ACGME mandatory didactics.
· Delivers GME-related consultation to physician practices and medical staff services as needed. Acts as a consultant to residency programs and departments within the hospital.
· Engages in campus/clinic rounding where medical residents are located on a regular basis.
· Organizes and co-facilitates well-being events and programming including Retreats and Symposium.
Organizes and conducts research.
· Serves on planning committees to develop strategies for resident well-being and mission integration. Supports Physician/APP Well-Being department in all its functions.
Qualifications
T he expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Master’s degree in counseling or psychology-related field
· Ten (10) years of experience in direct clinical assessment and psychotherapy delivery
· Current valid State of Florida Psychology and/or Mental Health Counselor and/or Marriage and Family Counselor license
