Join Eat. Play. Love. Occupational Therapy's team as a part-time OT with the potential to build to full-time! Create your own schedule working with infants and toddlers with developmental delays and their families in both their home and community based settings. Responsible for:
Providing standardized assessments and treatments in a play-based approach for children ages birth to 5 in their natural environments
Promoting the function and engagement of infants and toddlers and their families in everyday routines by addressing areas of occupation, including activities of daily living, rest and sleep, play, education, and social participation
Providing parent education and home and classroom programs related to treatment goals
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team (e.g. child development specialists, early intervention supervisors, speech and language pathologists, teachers, school support staff, family, and other professionals)
Supporting and facilitating each child's progress through quality therapy, increasing opportunities for inclusion and enhancing trusted caregiver-child relationships
Completing progress reports utilizing standardized developmental assessment tools
Evaluating and tracking progress toward goals and objectives
Attending team meetings and/or IFSP meetings as needed
Writing brief summaries of and tracking visits
Writing OT assessment and re-assessment reports
Requirements:
CA Occupational Therapy (OT) license
Early Intervention, School-based Experience OR Equivalent Experience
Pediatric Experience
Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
Excellent Written & Oral Communication Skills
Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check with no criminal record
Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance
Valid Professional Liability Insurance
Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
