***$1,000 signing bonus*** We are looking for a Mobile Therapist who is passionate about working with children diagnosed with mental illness, intellectual disability, or drug and alcohol addiction.
Responsibilities:
* Assesses strengths and therapeutic needs of child and family.
* Participates with family in an ongoing manner, in the formulation, development, implementation and monitoring of treatment efforts.
* Determines with family the need for any necessary family support services.
* Develops with clinical team a plan to obtain identified services.
* Provides child-centered, family focused, individual and family psychotherapy as agreed upon by therapist and family.
* Determines, in conjunction with child and family and other involved professionals, the clinical need for special evaluations and services, such as medication assessment by a psychiatrist, psychological testing, etc.
* Has sessions with the child individually, the entire nuclear family, the family and a community resource, minister, scoutmaster, community leader, mentor, etc., the family and teacher, guidance counselor or principal, subsystems of any of the above, as clinically indicated and agreed upon.
* Collaborates with the child and family and other involved professional to develop daily routines during times of crisis and transition and 24 hour crisis plan. Collaborates with other involved professionals and agencies in order to provide unified services and continuity of care to child and family.
Requires a Master’s Degree in Counseling or equivalent field, as well as, clinical experience with children and/or families
