Role Overview:
As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at ROC OTx, you’ll work directly with early intervention and school-aged children, providing hands-on, play-based therapy in home and community settings. Our interventions are child-centered and designed around each child's unique needs and preferences, ensuring therapy feels natural, fun, and engaging. You will collaborate closely with families, empowering them with the tools and knowledge they need to support their child's development in daily routines.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Conduct thorough evaluations to assess each child’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs. Develop individualized treatment plans thatincorporate play-based and creative therapeutic activities.
-Deliver Child and Family-Centered Therapy: Provide in-person therapy in natural home-based settings, fostering a comfortable, relaxed environment where children feel safe and motivated to grow.
- Empower Families: Educate and coach families on strategies to integrate therapeutic activities into their everyday lives, ensuring they are active partners in their child’s progress.
- Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work alongside other therapists and professionals, sharing ideas and strategies to deliver holistic, high-quality care. Our team meetings are an essential part of building camaraderie and sharing knowledge.
- Creative Problem Solving: Use your creativity to find new ways to engage children in therapy, adapting interventions to match their developmental level and interests.
Qualifications:
- Colorado Occupational Therapy License (Required)
- Early Intervention Training Certification (Reimbursement eligible)
- New Grads considered! 1+ years of experience working with pediatric clients, early intervention experience a PLUS!
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and documentation skills
- Familiarity with sensory integration, play-based therapy, and feeding interventions is a plus
- Enthusiastic about working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
Work Schedule & Location:
- Flexible Schedule: We offer both full-time (20+ visits per week) and part-time (under 20 visits per week) options with the flexibility to choose hours that fit your lifestyle.
- Locations: Work in the Denver Metro area, including Denver, Aurora, Centennial, Parker, and Castle Rock. Travel to patient’s homes.
