Job Title: Dietetic Technician
Location: New York, NY
Assignment Duration: 16 weeks (Potential to Extend)
Start Date: ASAP
Payrate: $25.00 hr.
Job Overview:
Health Source Group is seeking a dedicated Dietetic Technician to support a newly opening unit in New York City. This unit will operate 7 days a week with daily coverage required. The role involves training for 2-3 weeks prior to the start date and working a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays (5 days per week).
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, preparing, and delivering nutritional care services.
- Support dietitians in assessing patient dietary needs and preferences.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and nutritional guidelines.
- Utilize computer systems for meal tracking, patient records, and inventory management.
- Collaborate with food service teams, healthcare providers, and patients to optimize meal plans.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with food service operations as needed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED (Required)
- Associate’s Degree in Nutrition, Food Service, or a related field, or equivalent related work experience (Required)
- Food Safety Certification (Required)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (Required)
- Basic computer proficiency (Required)
- Strong math, communication, and interpersonal skills (Required)
