Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. The OT will work with patients of all ages to develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills. The ideal candidate will create personalized therapy plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and provide exceptional patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess patients’ physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities to develop effective treatment plans.
Design and implement individualized therapeutic programs to improve patients’ daily living and occupational skills.
Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment for improved independence.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, physical therapists, and speech therapists, to ensure holistic patient care.
Document and maintain accurate patient records and progress reports.
Stay updated with current best practices, research, and innovations in occupational therapy.
Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding occupational therapy services.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
License: Valid New York State Occupational Therapy License.
Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (new graduates encouraged to apply).
Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Certifications: NBCOT certification preferred.
Additional Requirements: Ability to work flexible hours and travel to various locations as needed.
