We are seeking Dietetic Technicians to join our team on a contract assignment in New York, NY 10032. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our Food & Nutrition Department in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Position Details:
- Title: Dietetic Technicians
- Shift: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Department: Food & Nutrition (608441)
- Pay Rate: $950/week
- Location: New York, NY 10032
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 5 days a week.
- Start: 03/10/2025
- Duration: 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and providing nutritious meals for patients, staff, and visitors in compliance with dietary guidelines and facility standards.
- Conduct meal preparation, portioning, and serving under the supervision of a dietitian.
- Maintain accurate records of dietary plans, food inventory, and meal distribution.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address patient dietary needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure high-quality service and satisfaction.
- Participate in the ongoing training to support the successful launch and operation of the new unit.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Associate degree in Nutrition, Food Service, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Food Safety Certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of computers and proficiency in food service software.
- Excellent math, communication, and interpersonal skills.
