In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing personalized therapy programs that enhance our patients' ability to perform daily activities. Your expertise will be crucial in helping individuals of all ages overcome physical and emotional challenges to achieve greater independence and improve their overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate patient needs and develop effective, customized treatment plans.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities.
- Teach patients adaptive techniques and use of assistive devices.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and records.
- Stay informed about advancements in occupational therapy practices and techniques.
Requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- DOH Licensed or eligible for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to develop tailored treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Prior experience in a Pediatric Out Patient department.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to therapy.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of research-based best practices in occupational therapy.
- Certification in specialty areas (e.g., pediatrics).
