Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations and develop diagnostic and therapeutic strategies for patients with cancer.
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other treatment modalities while monitoring for efficacy and side effects.
- Collaborate with surgical oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists to optimize multidisciplinary care.
- Educate patients and their families regarding cancer diagnosis, treatment options, and supportive care.
- Engage in continuous professional development, staying informed of oncology research and advancements.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in accordance with regulatory standards.
Requirements
- M.D. or equivalent medical degree with completion of a residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Medical Oncology.
- Board certification in Medical Oncology.
- A minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in oncology practice.
- Excellent diagnostic and clinical skills with a strong understanding of oncology treatments and protocols.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships with patients and healthcare teams.
- Commitment to patient-centered care with an empathetic approach.
- Knowledge of current oncology research, clinical trials, and treatment innovations.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
- Active medical license in the state of practice.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in other languages is a plus.
