Key Responsibilities
- Provide immediate assessment and management of patients in emergency situations
- Perform life-saving interventions and critical procedures as needed
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to facilitate treatment planning
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff and other healthcare providers
- Educate patients and their families about diagnoses and treatment options
- Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
Requirements
Qualifications:
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency program in Emergency Medicine
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment
- Experience in emergency care is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
- Availability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends
- Interest in participating in quality improvement initiatives
