Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Lee’s Summit, MO
We are looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient office in Lee’s Summit, MO. In this role, you will work closely with Physical Therapists to provide hands-on therapy and guide patients through personalized rehabilitation programs designed to restore mobility and enhance daily function.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Or (4) 10-hour shifts: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday (No weekends)
- No weekends
Compensation:
- $60,000 – $70,000 per year with benefits
Patient Volume:
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by Physical Therapists, guiding patients through exercises and therapeutic activities to enhance mobility and function.
- Provide hands-on manual therapy and functional rehabilitation exercises.
- Observe and document patient progress, reporting findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring compliance with billing and regulatory requirements.
- Set up and maintain treatment areas and equipment to ensure a safe, organized environment.
- Assist with clinic operations, including scheduling, patient intake, and basic administrative tasks.
- Assess patients’ balance, coordination, and proprioception abilities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an accredited institution.
- Current Missouri licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in an outpatient or similar setting.
- Proficiency with EMR software (e.g., WebPT).
- Skilled in manual therapy techniques and rehabilitation exercises under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Strong communication skills to educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises and recovery strategies.
