The Practice Area Expert NARS position serves as a deep subject matter expert (SME) for LexisNexis products, solutions and content. The Practice Area Expert represents LexisNexis in high-profile, public-speaking and customer settings especially in high-stakes competitive situations to help effectively close sales.
In this role, you will drive usage, preference and awareness of LexisNexis practice specific products and content, collect customer and market feedback and uncover leads and opportunities to help drive revenue and POS and inform product development/roadmaps. The Practice Area Sales Expert also serves as a resource for the Practice Area Specialists.
Responsibilities:
- Share expertise and knowledge by training, coaching and mentoring Practice Area Sales Specialists
- Assist and lead sales teams to overcome significant customer challenges and effectively position them to close significant opportunities
- Proactively and aggressively take action to increase awareness and drive usage and preference of LN content, products and services
- Identify and target revenue and growth opportunities within assigned market and/or accounts
- Demonstrate deep product, content or practice area knowledge
- Act as internal resource/liaison for sales, marketing, segment and product teams
- Prepare and deliver specialized customer presentations to drive usage, communicate our value proposition and competitive differentiators
- Conduct competitive research, analysis of findings and shares information with product, segment and marketing
Qualifications:
- Excellent presentation skills, including PPT development
- Juris Doctorate
- Ability to see the "big picture" to help determine future product builds
